Kid Spaces and Places

The Dogwood Festival is perhaps most known for the free national headlining acts it brings to Festival Park every April; however, the Dogwood Festival prides itself on being able to bring affordable fun for patrons of all ages, while bringing together the community of the City of Dogwoods.

The 2018 Dogwood Festival is bringing more for kids than ever before!

With activities for children of all ages, the Festival has created this guide so families can plan for the weekend.

Families and children can enjoy free fun and learning at the Dogwood Festival! The Partnership for Children of Cumberland County (PFC) presents Partnership’s KidStuff with hands-on, age and developmentally appropriate activities. KidStuff is the ideal area for families with small children - changing stations, character meet and greets, and information about local resources. This area is now located on Person Street, just past the Market House. Fun activities include PNC Bank’s Grow Up Great Mobile Learning Adventure, Kids in Sports, buy buy Baby Nursing and Changing Stations, Bounce Houses, Characters to meet and greet, Information about local resources, and applications for the NC Pre-K Program.

$10 wristband - all access, per day

We had them for the first time at Fall Festival and now they are back for Dogwood! A $10 wristband gets each child into an area of inflatables, train rides, mini golf, and games! This area is recommended for children ages 2 and up and entrance is judged based on height.

What kind of festival would it be if we didn't have a carnival?! The Midway Carnival is now in a new location, with all of the same classic rides and activities that the area typically has! This area is great for kids of all ages, as different activities are geared towards different age groups.
