Who's Taking the Dogwood Stage?

Our 2018 lineup is bigger and better than ever before!
More days, more artists, more free concerts!

Thursday, April 26

A Thursday concert?! That's right! For the first time ever, we are kicking off the fun a day early, with a night of music, food trucks, and beer. The headliner on Thursday will be Jackyl.

Festival Park Stage // 8:00pm - 9:45pm

ABOUT JACKYL: It’s been 25 years since Jackyl shot out of Georgia with its wild, untamed and uncouth approach to rock ‘n’ roll. Equal parts hard rock, heavy metal and Southern rock, Jackyl formed in 1991 and brought back rock ‘n’ roll back — back to its down-to-earth, wild, fun-loving origins. After the release of many hits, Jesse James Dupree’s chain-saw escapades on album and in concert became one of many Jackyl trademarks. Staying true to their working band roots, ever since 2008 Jackyl has been on the road playing the summer festival circuit as well as many other choice, off-season venues.

I Stand Alone, Down On Me, The Lumberjack, When Will It Rain, Dirty Little Mind

FUN FACT: The band earned two Guinness Book of World Records citations and the designation “The Hardest Working Band in Rock ‘N’ Roll” for performing 100 shows in 50 days as well as 21 shows in 24 hours.

ABOUT RODNEY ATKINS: After over two decades in country music, it's hard to imagine that the Tennessee-born Atkins could still treasure the difficult moments and the arduous process of creating a song from the ground up. But he's just the kind of artist who loves the roots as much as the tree. With six number-one hits under his belt, four studio LP's and over ten million units sold, Atkins is more invested than ever in making honest, authentic records that tell a story and showcase his unique place in the world, which is exactly what he does on his forthcoming fifth LP.
"I'm a song mechanic," he says. "I just love working on songs." Whether writing with Rose or a stable of other revered co-writers, digging for the best jewels on Music Row or offering up his own versions of new classics like Jason Isbell's "Cover Me Up," his forthcoming record explores the many sides of an artist who is only moving forward and never too proud to do what makes him a little uncomfortable. Known for his numerous hits including six chart-topping tracks - "Take A Back Road,” “It’s America,” “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy),” “These Are My People,” “Watching You” and “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)" – it's a sonic progression that will excite and captivate both new fans and ones who have been on the ride all along.
