Fayetteville Dogwood Festival Named Best Event in the Southeast

March 1, 2018 – Fayetteville, NC – The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival was named Best Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Festivals and Events Association at the association’s annual conference in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on February 26, 2018.

Carrie King, Fayetteville Dogwood Festival Executive Director remarks, “We are beyond thrilled to bring home this prestigious award for our community. The spirit of the Fayetteville community made the Dogwood Festival a natural choice for the award. We could not do what we do without the continued support of our sponsors, volunteers, and patrons.”

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival has now received top honors in all event associations – local, state, regional, and international. The Dogwood Festival is the largest in Cumberland County, and one of the largest in the state of North Carolina. The 2018 festival will take place in less than two months on April 26 – 29 in Downtown Fayetteville.

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival is a non-profit organization committed to providing a variety of family–centered activities held in downtown Fayetteville, NC for nearly 36 years. In additional to the annual signature Spring Festival, Fayetteville Dogwood Festival also produces Cumberland County's largest Pageant, Dogwood Fall Festival and Fayetteville After 5. This is done to entertain, promote new business, enhance a positive community image, attract visitors, share the cultural and recreational opportunities of our community, encourage unity through the celebration of our diversity, promote the education of our rich history and foster civic pride.
