Historic Haunting Hayride

 

When : October 20-22nd & 27-29th

What is it? : This hour-long haunted hayride explores the eerie encounters and mysterious happenings of downtown Fayetteville. We dare you to join us as ghostly re-enactors and story-tellers take you through historic Fayetteville’s most infamous haunted locations. You’ll visit historic sites where legendary ghosts are known to inhabit. Watch out for the Confederate Soldiers as you make your way through Cross Creek Cemetery—by torchlight. Will you see a roaming spirit or a spooky ghost? Join us for a historic adventure into Fayetteville’s chilling past.

This is a rain or shine (full moon that is) event! Bring blankets or umbrellas if needed. Reservation are required.

Cost : Tickets for the haunted hayride are $15.00 each and can be purchased by calling (910) 323-1934 or thru etix. Click here to purchase tickets through etix.

NEW Departure Location: 325 Franklin Street – Transportation Museum & Annex (click for driving directions)

Make sure to arrive early! Wagons do leave at scheduled time. Allow enough time to find parking and to check in.

Suggested Parking : Maxwell Street, Franklin Street, and in the City Parking Lot – RCW 1 (corner of Franklin St & Donaldson Street, behind construction area – FREE parking after 5pm)

Hallow’s Eve Event

 

When : October 30th

What is it? : Are you ready to take a walk on the dead side, and help out a great cause? If so, don’t miss our annual Hallow’s Eve Cemetery Walk. City Historian, Bruce Daws, will guide participants by candlelight for a one hour walking tour through Cross Creek Cemetery. During the tour you will hear tales of murder, mayhem, and just plain odd stories of how folks came to reside there.

Proceeds from this popular event are used to restore the vandalized and valuable headstones in Cross Creek Cemetery. Join us for a unique look into Fayetteville’s interesting past!

Cost : Tickets for the Hallow’s Eve Cemetery Walk are $10.00 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival’s office, in the Liberty Point building at 145 Person Street, or by calling the office at (910) 323-1934.
